When my pops passed on I inherited quite a few firearms, not as many as my other brothers did, but still a nice pile. Since there is SO much info on www.ixquick.com/ and opinions are like, well you know. I do not know much about guns, other than they can protect my family and put food in their mouth. I have 2 .44 mag ruger rifles, I know they were made in the 60's, one has a nice scope and has been used alot, but was always treated well, the other is brand new in the box, my question exatly how rare are those and are they popular ? also there is a 7mm mauser I think that is spelled the right way, I cannot check since I cannot keep any guns in my home, thanks to stupid laws that say mentally ill folks all are homicidal.. I also have a enfield ? .303 british as I always heard my pops and older brothers call it, I know it is from the WW1 period..it has a bayonet attached. are those last 2 collectable ? well that is enough questions for now, have 20 more long guns, since they were my favs as a kid, I wish I was not so ignorant to guns, otherwise I would have fought more with my bros over dads collection, he had over 300 of em..most of which had never been fired collector type guns. I appreciate any replies, thanks Mike

I would guess the 44 mag would be highly prized. I have one made by Israeli Arms called a Timberwolf. It's a pump action 44 mag imported before the ban. My son has an identical rifle except it's in 357 mag caliber. I've seen my 44 go for between 800 and 1400 dollars. Mine is in mint condition; still have the box but it has been fired. Great for hunting or home protection. I scoped mine and added a sling. It holds 10 rounds as is fun to shoot. Is yours something like this one? www.gunauction.com/buy/11337868/rifles-for-sale/semi-auto-rifle/ruger-late-1960s-deerfield-44-mag-carbine-unfired

The Ruger .44 is no longer being produced.Ive seen prices for them from around 500 to 900 bucks. There were two different versions produced, tube magazine and a magazine like the Rugers 10/22.Theyre decent deer guns.I dont know much about the enfield.

I'll get length and some better close up pics today (maybe). Batteries went out in digital camera yesterday. Don't get to town everyday to replace. Anything in particular you want to know Red? Thanks for any info you know or can find out. If its only worth a few hundred I'll probably hang onto it. But if we hit four digits I will. Let me know what you'd like to know please.... Thanks, Brad
