www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/06/Judge-Throws-Out-Chicago-Gun-Ban by AWR Hawkins 6 Jan 2014 A federal judge ruled Monday that Chicago's ban on the sale of guns within city limits is unconstitutional. According to the Chicago Tribune, U.S. District Judge Edmond Chang issued a 35-page ruling in which he wrote: Chicago's ordinance goes too far in banning legal buyers and legal dealers from engaging in lawful acquisitions and lawful sales of firearms, and at the same time the evidence does not support that the complete ban sufficiently furthers the purposes the ordinance tries to serve. While this ruling is delayed from taking effect, "to allow the city time to appeal," this is but the latest ruling which has gone against gun laws in Chicago and/or Illinois since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against the Windy City's ban on the possession of a gun in McDonald v. Chicago (2010). In December 2012, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against the ban on concealed carry in Illinois, after which lawmakers passed concealed carry legislation.

Let's not get too excited over this ruling. Although the judge did come down with this opinion, he ADDED TO IT, but once the City of Chicago allows gun sales etc, they THEN COULD LEGALLY ADD ALL KINDS OF RESTRICTIONS AS THEY SEE FIT!
