Having started my first business back in the 1970s, I encountered very few problems. Get a local business
license, pay your taxes, reap your reward!!!
Things started changing over the years. More taxes, more regulations, more restrictions, less profit.
Between local, state, & federal; & all the small spin-off departments of these government offices; whom
wish to extract every cent from you; and want all kinds of information from you about your business,
yourself, your family, etc.
One of there favored tricks is to not inform you of all the fees & requirements at the start-up of your business.
They figure that once you start the paperwork & paying the fees, that they will hit you with a "new" regulation
that is handled by "another department" of course. BUT TRY TO GET THIS INFORMATION BEFORHAND, HA!!
And then there are the needless requirements that "you must comply with. That really have nothing (most times)
to do with your type of business.
Knowing quite a few friends & business owners who feel the same way, EVERYONE OF THEM TELLS ME THAT
THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS IF THEY DIDN'T 'CHEAT' SOME HOW.
The governments response to this is. " IF EVERYONE PAID THEIR TAXES CORRECTLY,AS THEY SHOULD, THERE
WOULD BE NO PROBLEM" !!!!!! YEA, no problem for them, they just keep spending more & more, and wasting
it on programs that benefit very few. Which would not be too big a concern except for all the strings attached
to most programs, benefits, etc. that generally make them worthless.
ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY & CONTROL.
I see nothing changing in the future. It will just keep getting worst. (for our own good, they'll say) Know an
older couple that came over from Poland many years ago, due to all the corruption there. Their remark to me
one day was; " at lease over there we knew what to expect, how to work with the system; not here, this country
has so many crooks in it just wanting money & trying to tell you how to live." "there we paid them off, & were
free to live our lives as we seen fit, weather good or bad times."
I hope that when SHTF, that the needless bureaucracy stops. VERY UNLIKELY !!!!!!
I'm sure it seems to you that this post is all about my rant on taxes. YES, ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY. Except for
some in office; its about power & control. Hope they go broke & have to work for a living one day. Another VERY UNLIKELY.
There are a few good people working in government, at all levels, mostly local the way I see it.
But in general this country is on the road to collapse !! Times are changing so fast, glad I'll be gone soon.
And I don't want to here that I don't 'love my country'. I do, but I don't love the way its headed.
IT USE TO BE YOU HAD TO READ BETWEEN THE LINES ON WHATEVER THE POLITICIANS SAID.
NOW, THEY ARE BLATANTLY SCREWING US. If your happy the way things are, good for you, you can sleep at night !!
