Red posted this and it disappeared. I like THs point that we cannot cede the ground without at least trying to change the tide. I am not on facebook, I always thought it was too intrusive. What do you all think? www.infowars.com/facebook-considers-new-restrictions-on-gun-conversations/" Kit Daniels Infowars.com March 4, 2014 Facebook is currently working with two anti-gun groups to further restrict firearm discussions on its various pages in a move that will likely lead to the outright censorship of gun topics throughout the social media site. Facebook will accelerate its demise by flirting with gun grabbers. Credit: Thos003 / Flickr Facebook will accelerate its demise by flirting with gun grabbers. Credit: Thos003 / Flickr After Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action spent the past month pressuring Facebook to censor gun-themed fan pages, the company finally agreed to reconsider its current policies, according to the anti-gun publication Venture Beat. An insider told the publication that the ongoing talks between the gun control groups and Facebook were “progressing” and that they have already made agreements yet to be disclosed. Moms Demand Action, which publicly partnered with MAIG in December, began to pressure Facebook last month to change its stance on firearms. The anti-gun group even produced a video meant to “shame” Facebook for allowing its members to post pictures of and privately sell guns, despite the fact that many such transactions are perfectly legal in the vast majority of states."

A few years ago I found a Class ring at the beach and finally found the face book page of the girl I thought it belonged to. I was amazed at the crap she put out there for everyone to look at, matter of fact it weirded me out enough that I wasn't going to contact her myself ( being an older fella ). So I asked a moderator on Tnet, a friend of mine, if she would do it.
She got it all lined up and got the dad to call me. He gave me the address and I sent it to them. ( they sent a nice thank you note.
Anyway, a huge problem that our kids don't understand why they have privacy.

90% on my Facebook postings are political posts defending our Constitutional rights and freedoms... like I said on TN before thread was deleted there are over 100 million Americans on facebook, to not defend our Constitution and rights there is too big a battleground to surrender. There are millions of gun owners on Facebook.... Facebook is another battleground for our rights to be fought on..... You don't surrender a battleground without a fight especially when over 40 % of US population is involved..... "According to the Census Bureau’s population clock, as of August 8, 2010, there were 309.9 million people in the United States, of which 50.7% are woman and 49.3% are men. According to checkfacebook.com, there are 128.9 million American’s who have Facebook accounts, of which 55.7% are woman and 44.3% are men. Therefore, 41.6% of the U.S. population has a Facebook account today. The U.S. population also accounts for 26.4% of the global Facebook population. 44.6 million accounts are registered to individuals aged 24 and younger, just over 1/3 of all U.S. Facebook accounts. Those between the ages of 25 and 34 account for 31.7 million accounts or almost 1/4 of all accounts. Based on poulation estimates, this age cohort has about 41.5 million members, which means that three quarters of them have a Facebook account. Therefore, it should come as no surprise why brands focused on Gen X and Gen Y are using social media channels to engage their consumers. There are 22.4 million Facebook accounts registered to individuals between the ages of 35 and 44, compared to the estimated 44.3 million in that age cohort. If you do the math, 50.4% or 1 in 2 of those prospective customers are using Facebook. Of the 45.3 million Americans between the ages of 45 and 54, 16.1 million have Facebook accounts; 35.7% of the cohort. 9.3 million Facebook accounts are claimed by those between 55 and 64, which translates into 27.7% of the 33.5 million people in that age category. Individuals 65 and older account for 7.2% of all facebook accounts, just 12 of every 100 have an account." socialmediatoday.com/roywells1/158020/416-us-population-has-facebook-account
