I know I am not supposed to question God and all that comes from him..is God a him ? we were made in his image..what does that mean exactly ? I struggle with faith on a daily basis, mostly from what I have read bible wise, to sunday school teachings as a child to just random things in life. Some things I just cannot stomach as a intelligent human being, I know God is supposed to love us unconditionally, and that we are free to live our lives as we see fit. I have been wanting to talk about this with somebody that knows more than I do, but for some reason I seem to feel guilt for all the bad things that happen world wide, almost like had I did something at some time or another maybe, just maybe the world would not be so full of hate. My wife tells me that it is satan, making me feel the guilt, that the Lord would never put that weight upon my shoulders and I want to believe her I really do, it's just I really cannot explain it, but I have such a deep empathy for other humans it causes me great emotional distress on a daily basis.
With that being said, it leaves me to the point to where I find my self trying to question God on why he allows so much pain and suffering to happen to those he created. Now I know we are born into sin for the sins of our parents and all those that came before them, so we must endure trials and tribulations, but as adults we can alter ( sometimes ) the paths through life we take, however were I find myself questioning God is when it comes to those who cannot alter their situation, speaking directly of the children. I read about it all the time, here in our country and all over the world, millions of children starving to death on a daily basis, so much famine, why ? The children cannot go out and provide for themselves, how can a little baby feed its self ?, why oh why does the Lord allow them to suffer so greatly, yes the may be born of sin, but that does not mean they should suffer and die at such a tender age without ever being able to live the life that God gave them..so that is my struggle with my faith, that I have never been able to overcome...why ? why do they have to suffer, if he loves us so much, why not deliver mana from heaven like it was done in the old testament ? I really wish I had some answers, I ask God all the time, but I never get any answers.
If anybody anywhere knows anything about why this has to be this way please share your thoughts, all my life I have felt an emptiness like something is missing, I feel very strong feelings of needing to help people, I have a recurring dream, that is always the same that I have been having most of my life, a lone silhouette standing on a hill, with many below it, and he is speaking to them, trying to tell them what God wants them to hear..but I have never attempted to try something like that, because everybody that I have ever talked to about doing such a thing has told me that I need to know the bible better, before I can preach it, or that I have to have blind unwavering faith in the Lord to do that.
I just really feel lost, and it really hurts.

I don't know why God causes us to suffer so much and sometimes it seems the truest and purest of hearts have to endure the greatest pains, sorrows and it seems so unfair.I think your darkness, depression, and your burden is standing in the way of seeing Gods light though, the darkness does represent Satan and its dark hold on you. I know you follow and believe in Him and that antagonistic struggle could be Satan's pull on you.Know that I am praying for you Mike. You feel things deeply for others and that is the Lord's light shining in you.Come out of that shadow to spread Gods word that there is hope.

With that being said, it leaves me to the point to where I find my self trying to question God on why he allows so much pain and suffering to happen to those he created. Most struggle with rectifying what we see today with what we understand to be right and wrong. Even Job questioned things in Chapter 24 of the book which bears his name. Rest assured, the suffering is NOT caused by GOD, but it is allowed. It is a very deep subject, and actually a legal case being played out on a grand scale ... a universal scale. We are the observers, witnessing what is happening. When the case concludes, one side will be found wanting and they will meet their fate at the hands of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Remember that scripture says that "and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first (former) things are passed away." Now I know we are born into sin for the sins of our parents and all those that came before them, so we must endure trials and tribulations, but as adults we can alter ( sometimes ) the paths through life we take, however were I find myself questioning God is when it comes to those who cannot alter their situation, speaking directly of the children. Two branches of the same tree. Been on both sides myself. Personally, my time of doubt occurred at the death of my first daughter ... who was born and died on my 29th birthday. Still hurt from that every day.

Mike I am not the light at the end of the tunnel, there is one light: "Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12 Perhaps someone can help you to find that light at the end of the tunnel, but be aware: it is the beginning of the journey, not the end.

Mike, you have never been a burden, you are most loved and protected. Chad is right, in regards to the deepness(and hidden meanings). To find God, I had to get away from the church and religion. I am a Gnostic Christian, (and please read that correct a Gnostic, not an agnostic. I got reamed for 2 pages once, cause folks can't differ "a" and "an"). LOL!
Faith is something ppl hold on to, when they do not truly know. You are never going to learn anything new, you will only discover things you have always known. So, be not of fear, everything you truly need, you have within you, right here and now. It just may be covered up or hidden.
It is true, that one soul needs another to follow. This is where your choice of "teacher" is most important. If you cannot know/understand God within yet, I find following Jesus(Yeshua), the most proper and correct way. BUT, do not follow what man says of this one, follow HIS words and instruction. The most important lesson being LOVE, the golden chord that binds all the commandments. Love for God, self, and neighbors.
If Chad, WT, and a few others can help guide, instruct, and correct error (when needed), perhaps we can all learn from each other here. Remember Mike, LOVE for SELF! You are great and wonderful, no one can tell me different!

My Friend, There is no answer to be found but within YOURSELF. Suffering is good,it brings one to yearn for the answer. What good is it for me to tell you if you don't see it for YOURSELF. I do not mean to be harsh. God Bless you and your Family
